Squat training with weights may avoid the impacts of jump training. Furthermore, while slow-speed resisted squats build strength, their transference to power is limited as are any gains in metabolic and cardiovascular health.

The Pneubounder equipment under study addresses the limitations of traditional jump and squat training with pneumatic technology in a machine engineered for these purposes.
